Jobsite Safety Rules

DIY Jobsite Safety Rules

Site Safety is for the protection of workers and family to improve compliance.

As a DIYer, you are the site manager. Make your project a success by ensuring a safe, serious, and productive environment.  Keep it serious at all times!!

DIY Safety: Protecting What Matters.

  • A construction site—even a weekend project in the garage—can be dangerous. Take responsibility for your site by putting safety first to keep everyone involved safe, every minute of the day.
  • No Horseplay: Horseplay and unsafe behavior are strictly prohibited.
  • Strictly No Kids: Children are never allowed on the jobsite.
  • Authorized Personnel Only: Keep visitors and non-workers out of the work area at all times.
  • Safety Training and Awareness:
Workers should be trained about jobsite safety rules, and on how to properly use and wear safety equipment.

  • Foot protection (safety shoes/boots): Provides protection from falling objects, punctures, and slipping hazards.
  • Hand protection (safety gloves): Required when handling hazardous materials or operating power tools.
  • High-visibility clothing: Enhance worker visibility, often including reflective strips.
  • Respiratory protection (respirators): Required for working in places with airborne contaminants.
